Between AKIHABARA, OTAKU and MAID CAFES

AKIHABARA

akihabara
Akihabara. Is one of the famous names who located around Akihabara Station, soto-Kanda area in the district of Chiyoda city, Tokyo, Japan. Akihabara is a shopping center or sometimes called Akihabara Electronics Center. Some people call it by Akiba.

If you want to look for electronics items, such as computers, cameras, etc.. Visit to Akihabara is the right choice. In addition, Akihabara is the center of the anime, and manga. For the otaku, Akihabara is the perfect place to satisfy their hobby. They always say that Akihabara is the otaku paradise.

OTAKU

If talking about Akihabara, perhaps closely related to otaku. So, What is Otaku? Otaku is basically a term from Japan to refer for people who really pursue hobbies. But since the 1990s, the term otaku becoming known outside of Japan to mention a huge fan of Japanese subcultures such as anime and manga. There are even some people who call themselves as otaku.

Maybe now, otaku known to refer for someone who really likes anime, manga, games, etc.. can be said to be maniacs.

Negativity of the otaku is sometimes they do not want to come in contact with the outside world, did not want to have a partner and prefer to spend single life with his favorite anime characters. Even I (the author) had seen anyone who is married to his favorite anime character, he is not attracted to human women, but he fell in love with two-dimensional female character who always he carried everywhere for a date.

There are several films in the Japanese drama series which tells about the Otaku, that is "Densha Otoko" and "Akihabara @ Deep"

MAID CAFE

Still in Akihabara...

maid cafe
Besides otaku, there are other interesting things contained in this anime lovers paradise. We could call it a "Maid Cafe".

Maid Cafe is a cafe regular, but the waiter from the cafe is very different from the other cafes in the world. The waiters were women aged 16 to 28 years who wear lolita fashion costume, or dressed and behaved exactly like a character from the anime.

The servants of the maid cafe always call consumers with the title "goshuujin-sama" which means lord, master. At the time the customer enters into the cafe, the waiter would say "Okaerinasai, goshuujin-sama!", Which means "Welcome home, my lord!", As if the maid was waiting for his master came home.
